Ryan's primary goal is to deliver a Titleist Performance Institute Experience in Austin, Texas to players that are TPI Alumni or perspective players interested in visiting the TPI. The TPI Experience is a comprehensive assessment of six factors affecting your golf game including:
- Course Management
- Shot Making and Skills
- Instruction
- Physical Fitness
- Club Fitting
- Mental Game
Background
Ryan has been personally influenced by several great teachers including Claude Harmon III, Butch Harmon, Dave Phillips, Greg Rose, Jim Hardy, Hank Haney, and Buck Mayers. Ryan believes golf is a sport and players should practice, train, and play in an athletic mindset. Ryan is inspired by the work of several TPI Advisory Staff members including Gray Cook, Ramsay McMaster, and Tom House.
Ryan is interested in how technology such as ball flight monitoring, biomechanical three dimensional swing analysis, and advanced fabrics and shoes continue to affect golf. Ryan is also interested in how instructors can improve communication and understanding with their players.
Ryan coordinates tournaments and events in Austin and produces the Titleist/Cobra Long Ball Challenge featuring players from the Pinnacle and Cobra Long Drive Teams, local amateurs, and celebrities.
Ryan graduated from Southern Methodist University with degrees in Psychology and Political Science.
