Questions and Answers > Swing Theory > I need some help. Could you give a drill that helps me stop blocking shots? -Bill, FL

Check out my About section and profile page if you would like to find out more about me and what we do.  You are also welcome to submit your questions.

    Bill,

Without seeing your swing, I can't really be sure.  If you would like to submit a video, please click here and we can get to work.

However...most people that block shots tend to stand up in their swing.  Their hips move closer to the ball and their hands get "stuck."  Try to feel that your hands win the race to the ball.  Feel like your back faces the target through impact and that your hands lead the downswing down and through the ball.  Thanks for the question.
